SOEN: Memorial Tour 2024

Soen is a progressive metal supergroup consisting of various high-profile extreme metal musicians. Their debut album Cognitive was released on February 15, 2012. Initially formed in 2004, it was in May 2010 that the formation of Soen was announced. The original lineup consisted of former Opeth drummer Martin Lopez, ex-Death, Testament and Sadus bassist Steve Di Giorgio, Willowtree vocalist Joel Ekelöf and guitarist Kim Platbarzdis. The group's first song, "Fraccions", was released on the band's official website in October 2010.

Trope is a Canadian rock band from Vancouver, BC. The band formed in 2015 after guitarist/producer Dave Thompson created a piece of music and showed vocalist Diana Studenberg. After Studenberg spent some time writing lyrics and melodies, that piece became a song called Lambs and the duo spent the next 2 years writing and recording demos while looking for bandmates who could play the songs, as the elements of the music had constant time signature changes and feels and was quite complex. After Thompson filmed and edited a short teaser video for the first part of Lambs, they garnered the attention of the music industry including Mike Fraser (ACDC, Metallica) who agreed to engineer the album while Thompson produced. David Bottrill (Tool, Peter Gabriel) also expressed interest and agreed to creatively consult and mix the album. In April 2017 pre-production started in Vancouver BC on the debut Trope album. Trope’s music has been likened to A Perfect Circle and Tool with female vocals, their sound falling into the Art Rock genre. Their ‘music first’ focus pairs with the groups sound, which is quite progressive.
