SABIN RAI & THE PHARAOH: Live in Austin

With the career spanning over one and a half decade, Sabin Rai is not a new name in Nepali Music scene. Born and raised in Dharan, singer/songwriter Sabin started his solo musical journey with his debut album Nine in 2001. His second album Sataha (2003) earned him a huge name and fame making him the pop sensation overnight. Since then he has been awarded with numerous Musical Awards including New Artist of the Year 2004 (Channel Nepal), Best Song of the Year 2004 (Hits FM), Best Composition of the Year 2007 (Hits FM), Record of The Year 2008 (Image Channel) Most Played Song of the Year 2009 (Kantipur FM), Chhinnalata Award for Youth Icon and many more. Sabin has successfully released 5 albums so far.

The strength of Sabin’s musical ability is showcased by his success both abroad and at home in Nepal. Known for his amazing stage presence and performance, Sabin is also dubbed as Bryan Adams of Nepal due to his similar husky voice with the Canadian singer/songwriter.
Over the years Sabin has had the opportunity of performing in prominent concert venues in Australia, UK, USA, Canada, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan and many more.

Sabin has also collaborated with various musicians including the ELEKTRIX and the PHARAOH. Recently, he has been featured in popular music show ‘Kripa Unplugged Season 2’ and has been praised widely for the unplugged session.

Aside from being a musician, Sabin is also an entrepreneur and owns a Thai Restaurant in Patan, Nepal.
